Science Communication 101

Toronto Science Policy Network‘s next workshop is about Science Communication, which will be led by Sasha Weiditch, who is a PhD candidate and science communicator. She will lead participants through the basics of science communication, and how to make science accessible for a general audience. Participants will then have the chance to practice science communication during the workshop and receive feedback from the workshop instructor.

ABOUT SASHA:
Sasha Weiditch is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Department of Biology. Sasha is involved in science communication through social media, her 5+ years of teaching experience, and various public outreach events. Sasha is passionate about making science accessible for everyone and has given talks with Soapbox Science, The Royal Canadian Institute of Science and TEDx UofT.
CODE OF CONDUCT
TSPN is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.
